- In DS-CDMA, all users can share the same frequency band. Since large other-cell interference is produced, site diversity must be used. If the available frequency bandwidth is divided into several narrow frequency bands and each user transmits a signal using one of divided frequency bands, the interference from adjacent cells can be avoided. In this paper, we propose a DS-CDMA slotted ALOHA using frequency-band division and random transmit power control (TPC). Its link capacity and throughput are evaluated by computer simulation to show that the use of the frequency-band division and random TPC can increase the throughput and link capacity.
